AI: Avoiding the Next Digital Divide
In March 2024, EdTrust hosted the SXSW EDU panel, AI: Avoiding the Next Digital Divide, to explore the emergence of artificial intelligence in classrooms, its impact on education equity, centering access, so students of color and students from low-income backgrounds do not get left behind.
I developed the digital marketing strategy for the panel picker vote campaign—which was successful in securing our spot on the SXSW EDU schedule—as well as the promotions in the lead up to the session.
Through leveraging the support of EdTrust’s audience of advocates (250,000+) across digital channels; web, email and social media platforms, we built a momentum of interest in the issue by connecting it to the digital divide. It was a highly engaged session led by our experts in research, civil rights, and education technology, held on the SXSW x SXSW EDU crossover day. Listen to the full conversation or watch the highlights of the panel here.
